I've been on DA VERY infrequently lately because I am in the middle of a deadline for an animation project I am doing for the library. I've never done animation before and I did trials on several free versions before settling on Pencil 0.4.4. Like GIMP it is freeware and it was the closest thing to traditional animation which means I understood how it worked. I've never done it before, but I do know how it works. I'm still in the middle of the project, so expect me to continue to be sporadic here for awhile.
In the meantime, I've been included in some other people's journals and I haven't met my obligation to continue the favor, so here goes.
For this journal I will feature several people here on DA who have been important or influential to me.

These guys are my Band of Brothers. They offer real critiques, and give heart-felt encouragement. Beyond just drawing comic book stuff I can approach any of these men on this site about pretty much anything and know that there is someone who is also seeking God's will, to do right and give an honest effort.

This guy's work has taken off in the last year where I think he has found a style that he is comfortable with and that works. It's nice to know that people do take the time to look at your work and if you are on his watch list, orif he has marked something as a favorite, rest assured he is checking in on your page every so often to see what is new! Another creative individual, he has come up with scores of original characters and stories. More importantly, he has joined up with Capital Comics to chase his dream of seeing his characters in comics that are also family-friendly. He's also a HUGE fan of the movie Fireproof which, despite its short comings, is a VERY good film.

Great clean line work, awesome character designs, and a slightly edgy sense of humor are present in many of his pictures, but the ones that are most striking are the ones that deal honestly with the Christian faith. It is amazing the quality and quantity of work he can put out! He is such an encourager to so many people on DA it is safe to say he has something of a fan base (I think the reaction to the SuperBuff series proves that!)

This is my brother on the other side of the world. I don't know if we'll ever get to meet face to face, but he has still been a friend to me nonetheless. His comments to me many times lend good advice or show how to "fix" something I've done. Like the others I have listed here, he really loves his family and has a strong faith. His artwork is detailed and meticulous and clean and tight for inkers and colorists to work on. He has done work for a few comics publishers including Bluewater's Isis. I know he is going to go as far as he wants with his comics work!

is the newest brother on the list and I think the youngest and most fervent with his faith. He's the kind of guy I picture God putting big responsibilities on. Here is someone else you can look at and see how quickly he is improving. His drawings are intricate and not just thrown together quickly. If anything, he might just pack too much into some of his pictures!
There are other people who are also counted among friends here at DA-

have also been some of my biggest encouragers here on this site.
There are more, and I'll try to feature more in the future. In the meantime, may you walk humbly and justly before the Lord and may His blessing be upon you.
